Template builder

Build a set of words on a computer, with a bigger screen and a keyboard, then put it on a phone or tablet. For a teacher or therapist preparing a board for a child, or a parent setting up a new device.

1. Tap + Word or + Folder, give it a name, and pick a symbol or use your own photo.
2. Or start from a template, or open a GibTalk backup file to change it.
3. Download the file when you're done.

Putting it on a device

1. Send the file to the phone or tablet: email, chat, or cloud drive.
2. In GibTalk, tap Edit, then Restore, and choose the file.

Restore replaces every word already on the device. If there's anything to keep, tap Backup first, then open that backup here with Open a file, add your new words to it, and restore the result.

Share it with other families

If your set would help other children too, it could become a template anyone can add from the app. Open an issue on GitHub and attach the file. Symbols only, please: photos of real people or places stay with you.

Your privacy

The builder runs in your browser. Your words and photos aren't uploaded anywhere; the file is made on your computer. Only symbol searches go to the symbols server. Your work in progress is kept in this browser, and Start over clears it.
